A Rated Washing Machines feed

Appliance Information

Washing machines impact the environment through the consumption of both power and water, up to 80% of the energy comsumption is used during the heating water phase. Some of the most efficient washing machines automatically weigh the load to determine the most efficient use of heated water.

Washing machines are required by EU law to display an energy efficiency label to provide consumers with a simple efficiency comparision between products. The comparsion is based on a grading system with the most efficient appliances receiving a A while the least efficient receive a G. Energy consumption is tested by running a 60°C cotton cycle on a maximum load. The machines will also be rated on their washing and spin drying performance, again using an A to G scheme.

The current EU energy labelling system is due to be upgraded in late 2011 or early 2012 and will put in place an A+, A++ and A+++ rating for washing machines, this is to allow consumers to easily identify the most efficient models.

All of our washing machines are rated A or above.
